#Read Me, Love Me, Buy Me (Book Review)

This Same Earth: Elemental Mysteries Book Two
Elizabeth Hunter

Beatrice De Novo thought she had left the supernatural world behind…for the most part. But when the past becomes the present, will she leave her quiet life in Los Angeles to follow a mystery she thought had abandoned her? Where has Giovanni Vecchio been, and why has he returned? Giovanni has his own questions, and he’s looking to her for answers.
The sequel to A Hidden Fire will reunite Beatrice and Giovanni to continue their search through the past while both wrestle with the future. When the world as you knew it has changed forever, is there any way you can turn back?
This Same Earth is the second book in the Elemental Mysteries series. It is a paranormal romance/mystery for adult readers.

I really enjoyed how the book started with entries from B’s journal. Although I got a little confused, but after going back through the pages I realized that the years were changing – once I got over my airhead moment – I thought the entries were a brilliant way to pass the years.

After five years of having no contact with B, Gio finally comes back into her live. I think Gio was expecting B to welcome him with open arms, but instead he gets a slap in the face (ha, pat on the back for B). I didn't think it was possible but I love B even more in this book, she’s smarter, feistier and doesn’t fall all over herself to get back with Gio (although I really wanted her too, but I was happy she stood her ground with him).

Gio has changed a bit too – after realizing it was a stupid idea to ignore B for five years, he starts doing things to get her attention in the hopes that he'll wear her down into taking him back –  it’s so cute…he fights for her, and that makes me love this Gio, so much more!

My favourite thing about the book is that you get to see a deeper side to Carwyn, when Gio and B visit him and his family – he’s not just a wise-cracking wrestling lover, he’s also a dad…

My rating for the book is 5 stars! I honestly love this series, Hunter has such a different take on the paranormal genre.
